My heart is beating with so much love. Today’s episode is about one of the most meaningful spiritual experiences I’ve ever had. During the summer of 2021, while in the midst of an intense period of pain, I was introduced to our Divine Mother while sitting in my backyard.
It turns out that I seem to go through a big period of unsettling every 12 years. In 1997, panic attacks led me to pick up A Course in Miracles. In 2009, I stopped running from the anxiety and started to heal it WITH Spirit. And in 2021, I’d meet our Divine Mother.
While I feel that God is Mother AND God is Father, right now, I’m having a total love affair with the feminine side of God, a part that has been out of my awareness for most of my life.
In today’s podcast episode, you’re going to hear about:
- My experience of Jesus introducing me to his/our Mother in my backyard
- The synchronous events that led me to find an image of Her in a tree in my backyard
- The value of darkness
- My pattern of going through a major upheaval every 12 years
- How the earth itself has risen in my awareness as a “brother” (a being just like you and me onto which we project all sorts of things)
- How our illusory bodies are of the earth and our minds are of God
- and more…

In Dr. Eben Alexander’s book Proof of Heaven, he recounts an experience in the afterlife as being in a “vast inky-black core that was the home of the Divine itself…. an inky darkness that was also full to brimming with light.”
“There is, some say, in God a deep but dazzling darkness . . .” – Henry Vaughan
RESOURCES MENTIONED:

PHOTOS OF THE BLACK MADONNA IN MY REDBUD TREE:
The above photo on the left is untouched. The photo on the right has black outlining to highlight the figure. The photo below is untouched and zoomed in.
CORINNE’S TAKEAWAYS:
- Try my nighttime practice – every night before bed, with love in your heart, open a window or stick your head out the door and breathe in the air of the night. Love the darkness. Say goodnight to the earth and send out love to anyone and anything that will receive it. Bless the world and thereby bless yourself.
- Periods of unsettling can come with gifts. Hold steady as best you can and ask your Divine Mother for help. She is available to all of us. Always. You will find your way through.

The black Madonna in your tree looks to me like Our lady of Czestochowa!!!
That’s a great connection, Cynthia! Thank you so much for sharing!
hi Corinne..
Thank you for your podcasts! I was trying to locate The work of Matthew Fox Mystic Magic Podcast and was unable to. Do you know the date or title?
Thanks so much and have a great day!
Hi Beth!

So fascinating! The image has the same position as Our Lady of Guadalupe.. https://www.britannica.com/topic/Our-Lady-of-Guadalupe-patron-saint-of-Mexico
Beautiful. Thank you Suzan!
I loved this podcast. I found your references to darkness very interesting. Darkness is not something to be feared, it is as natural as the night, the seeds in the ground, and a baby in the womb, as you said. We HAVE whitewashed the darkness and associated it with fear. There is light in the darkness also. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful experiences with us. I love where you’re going and will follow your lead knowing the Black Madonna, and the Holy Spirit, and Jesus, and the Angels go there with us.
Blessings.
Thank you for your beautiful comment, John!
Thank you for laying all this out in the way you did. Your experiences are powerful, Corinne.
Thank you Danielle!
Corinne, as an ACIM student of color, I so appreciate your loving exploration of the intersection of anti-Blackness and spiritual bypassing. This is powerful work that you’re doing. Thank you for the gift of this podcast. Looking foward to the next episode!
Thank you so much for sharing, Lanita! I’m grateful to walk the path Home with you.
Dear Corinne, This was a very powerful message. And I plan on ending my days now with a visit outside into the night. Thank you so much for sharing.
Beautiful! I’ll see you under the stars 🙂 xo
I’ve been a Course student for Four years. I need some time to digest your connection to body and earth. Something I’ve been pushing aside for a long time as not real, and part of this dream. 💕🌸
Thank you for sharing this, Bettya! xo
Thank you so much for sharing your healing journal Corinne! I read the book of Kathleen Mc Gowan about Mary Magdalene “The expected one”. She talks about the Black Madonna and all of the Cathar history in the South of France. Since then I been fascinated with Mary Magdalene and the labyrinth. Then The Course came in my life and now, you just help me to get the 2 together! Magical! Thank you!!
Hi Gabriela, This is wonderful to hear! I will have to check out that book. Thank you for the recommendation!
So many of your revelations ring true for me as I also have been on a life long spiritual journey.
I love ACIM, but consistently found myself changing the male- centered language to female. So much peace and wisdom with ACIM.
The goddess has always spoken to me. I love to see women embrace a deity that looks like them.
Thank you for your honesty and courage on your path.
Janet Conner (jannetconner.com ) has done a lot of wonderful work in this very area. (I’m not affiliated with her.)
Thank you for sharing Darlene! I will have to check out Janet’s work.
I just “found” you, and am so happy I did!
At 74, still a spiritual seeker. Nothing has fit! I am surrounded by Christians who believe people like me are damned to hell for eternity, because, well, I don’t believe in hell. If ‘they’ are correct, billions of unsaved are surrounded by fire eternally. That the only way to salvation is through Jesus.
Jesus would do this? Jesus, who hung out with prostitutes and other marginalized outcasts?
I have read some of ACIM, but it’s still new to me. Do Followers believe in an afterlife? Heaven? Hell?
I am so happy I found you. I love love your podcast!
One more thing: Am I right that you don’t identify with the alt-right? Sorry to be political, but this is important to me. Racism and bigotry are anything but Christ-like. 🙁
Hi Peggy! It’s so nice to meet you, and we are definitely on the same page. I agree with you that Jesus wouldn’t do these things and his message in ACIM is “teach only love.” ACIM teaches that this world is a dream and that we’ve never left God (and that there is no hell). Our task here is to remember who we truly are (love) by extending love to each other. And you are correct, I definitely do not identify with the alt-right. I’m happy you’re here! 🙂
hi corinne
I have also had the pleasure of meeting the divine mother.
I have been truly, madly, deeply in love with her ever since.
thank you so much for your story.
The sincerity and love in your words made me smile. I’m so glad you met Her too. Thank you for sharing!
I have a special relationship (just kidding) with this episode. One of my more distinct memories as a child was sitting in my catholic elementary school about 55 ish years ago, I was almost always dissociated in school because of perinatal trauma and rarely heard anything a teacher said. I was listening when the teacher, a nun, said “If you pray to Jesus and don’t seem to be getting an answer, talk to his mom”. Lots of relatives had those statues of a white Madonna, which I never felt much connection to. Now I know why. I wish I could go back in time and whisper in my young ears and say, “ask about his wife,Mary Magdalene”.
