On a recent Course in Miracles Study Group call, one of the participants shared an incredible insight: there is no such thing as negative energy. At first this might sound surprising, as I remember I used to feel very sensitive to other people’s negative energy and I would often get caught up in my own negative energy of anxiety.
But A Course in Miracles is a pathway of non-duality. That means there is ONLY love. There is no negative force that opposes love and no independent “negative energy” that has the power to cause you to feel a certain way. So if you perceive negative energy, it must be a misperception. That means it is an opportunity to ask for the miracle instead.
In this video you’ll get to listen in to our study group conversation in which the participant, Sue, shares her incredible insight. If this video resonates with you let me know by leaving a comment below!
Love this reminder, thank you Corinne! Had to share the simplicity with everyone, lol 😆 💖
Thank you Lynne! xo
What about the energy of war?
Hi Walther, thanks for this question. The energy of war is the painful outcome of turning against who we truly are and hurting ourselves. Please keep in mind that when we say, “there’s no such thing as negative energy” we’re speaking on the level of ultimate truth (not this level of form). There is a lot of negative energy here but if we are willing to see it differently, we can be shown ways to take action and ways to see the light in our siblings who are in pain. Someone who is giving pain is in pain, and if we can see the truth in that other for even a moment, we’re giving a miracle.
Also, it’s been some time since I recorded this video. Presently, I would no longer say, “there’s no one out there.” That is not what A Course in Miracles teaches. Instead, that is a teaching from the interpretation of other teachers.
Just found you and am very pleased much love on your site. I am 70,started ACIM discussion with Dr. Dorothy Jones In 1996 Ohio/Pa/WV tristate ,now live in FL. Just one small question ,and my intent is constructive/humorous, why the dangling participle. We are where we are and that is where it’s ‘at’. Thanks for you indulgence. Oh! I revisit the daily lessons some times, I have only been through them once but it took years!
Hi Stewart! Your comment made me laugh. Why the dangling participle? Creative license. And to give you a forgiveness opportunity. Bazinga! 🙂 Many blessings to you!
