I’m a full-time ACIM student, and I’ve also spent time being a student in these ways:
- B.C.C. Board Certified Coach from the Center for Credentialing & Education
- C.P.C. Certified Professional Coach from the International Coach Academy
- Ed.S. in Counseling, specializing in Meditation
- M.A. in Counseling
- B.A. in Psychology
- I also have extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through the Center for Mindfulness at UMass. Most recently I completed a 92-hour teacher development intensive training taught by senior staff from the Center for Mindfulness. Admission to the program was limited to those with extensive professional experience, a solid meditation practice, and previous training in MBSR and experience in teaching MBSR.
Growing into a teacher, my experience includes:
- Speaking at various state-wide and national professional conferences on mindfulness, including a keynote address (for a sample list of speaking engagements click HERE)
- Teaching as an adjunct professor of Counselor Education at The College of New Jersey since 2007
- Leading weekly mindfulness meditation classes at Bank of America
- Teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
- Teaching mindfulness meditation workshops to corporations, non-profit organizations, schools, and within my local community
- Working in the mental health field with singers and musicians for a decade as a licensed counselor
