Do you ever struggle with trying to understand the concepts in A Course in Miracles? Maybe you read something and get hooked with feeling you need to figure it out to progress with your study. In this vlog, I remind us that we’re like two-dimensional worms when it comes to our understanding of many of the Course’s non-dual concepts (I seriously don’t mean to offend anyone! :)) Rather than getting stuck in wanting to “know” (which is only ever ego that wants to know) we can instead ask Spirit for the experience of what the Course is teaching. This experience is our greatest teacher and is much more powerful than trying to intellectually figure things out.
And a technical correction for my scientific friends… A 2-dimensional worm would only understand “length” and “width” (I said “depth”). 🙂

Yes exactly! If we tried to get into a 2 dimensional universe, people would only be able to see cross sections of us!
I read the first five chapters of a course in miracles and I did not understand hardly anything so I put it away for the longest time but then the little voice inside my head told me to read it again which I thought was absurd but trusting my intuition, I did as was suggested to me and I was amazed that I understood it! I find myself seeing the world differently then I did and using many situations as an opportunity for forgiveness. Looking at the world with my right mind instead of my ego and feeling the peace and Love of God is something I always hoped for but didn’t know how to get it untill acim came into my life. For me, it’s all about trusting in something we cannot see or hear but we know it is there,( like you just said) probably in a different dimension. String theory says there are 10 dimensions but of course there is no way to prove it because we cannot see it as your example demonstrated, so Jesus is asking us to trust Him when He says, “Blessed are they who believe but cannot see!”

Hi Bob! What a beautiful example of how when we’re ready to hear ACIM’s messages, we hear it! I can totally relate. There have been times in the past when I read something in ACIM and my head would spin… only to re-read that same passage later with a deep feeling of clarity and resonance. I agree – it is about learning to trust in something that the body’s eyes do not see but that is really there. That Jesus quote you reference is PERFECT!! Thank you for sharing and much love to you!
